Crazy S
pooky Love by Josie Silver
This book was an absolute delight, fun, fast-paced, and refreshingly
original. I really enjoyed the charming blend of romance, mystery, and ghostly
mischief that gave the story such a whimsical yet emotional edge. Melody is an
instantly lovable protagonist, equal parts endearing and chaotic, and I admired
how fiercely she carved out her own path despite the constant whirlwind around
her. Her determination and heart really shine through.
The Bittersweet family is an unforgettable bunch, each member bursting with
personality. And the setting of Chapelwick? Cozy, quirky, and brimming with
life, it feels like a place you’d want to visit, ghostly hijinks and all.
The love triangle added just the right amount of romantic tension. Leo, the
infuriatingly charismatic ex, had that maddening charm that makes you roll your
eyes and swoon a little. Fletcher, on the other hand,
with his skeptical attitude and slow-burn grumpiness, totally snuck up on me.
The dynamic between him and Melody was a highlight, witty, tense, and totally
addictive.
The ghost mystery threaded through the story was just as captivating. The
Scarborough brothers were both hilarious and heartbreakingly tragic, and I
appreciated how their story was revealed in layers. While there were a few
moments when the plot felt a bit overstuffed, it never dragged. The pacing
stayed mostly on point and kept me fully invested from beginning to end.
If you’re into lighthearted paranormal reads with a dose of romantic spark,
a vibrant cast, and a ghostly twist, this one’s a gem. I can’t wait to see
where Melody’s story goes next!
